Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels" Flycut, decked and opened for 80mm pre A Porsche p/l New WW Okrassa heads, 4 hours later I'm ready to do the valve seats and porting. Location: back to living where hell meets the suface You should make a few of those intakes and linkage for resale. Here's a thread on the manifolds and linkage: Stock heads and valves, but I opened up the intake and exhaust passages as much as I dared. I'm not a pro and have limited VW experience, but my thinking was exactly along your lines, and it worked for me. I think the Okrassa heads have a higher initial compresssion, so you might want to open the chamber some depending on your desired compression. No mods to pushrods and geometry looks good. Engine runs great, and compression calculates to 8:1. Has anybody done this? Know measurement, things like that? I was aware that it would raise compression that would be a bonus. Port work and bigger valves so I don't believe having them fly cut would add to much cost to it. My reason for going that route would be that I was already planning on having head work done. I'd rather lose by a mile with something I built, than win by inches driving someone else's work. If it was easy, everyone would do it.succesfully (not a slight at you personally) Unfortunately there is a lot of work to be done when building stroker motors with any ACVW based engine, no way of getting around it. You will also be altering your combustion chamber size and increasing your compression ratio when you flycut the heads. Wouldn't it be simpler to fly cut the heads a given amount and then install spacers the same thickness on the case side of the jugs to maintain the same valvetrain geometry? Or is my thinking off? Has anyone done this? Posted: Thu 12:48 am Post subject: fly cutting ww okrasa heads?Ĭan the ww Okrasa heads be fly cut? I was wondering if instead of installing spacers to compensate for a 69.5 mm stoker crank and having to trim the tins and do the whole lifter insert thing.
